| Dr. Rene Vela has been in practice since 1984 in Corpus Christi. Dr. Vela has been involved in the local community for a number of years, helping countless students realize their potential in going to college. He was raised in Benavides, TX with four brothers on a dairy farm. Of the five, three went on to becoming doctors. Dr. Rene Vela graduated in three years from the University of Texas at Austin with BA in Biology. He is a 1983 graduate of UT Health Science Center Dental School in San Antonio obtaining his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He and his wife of over thirty years, Veronica, have four children - Bo, Benjamin, Kimberly and Jeremy. |

| Dr. Benjamin Vela has been in practice with his father since 2006. A native of Corpus Christi, Dr. Ben graduated from King High School in 1999. He graduated in three years from St. Mary's University with a BA in Biology. Afterwards, he went on to obtain his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from UT Health Science Center Dental School in San Antonio. He is married to Dr. Carla Gamez, a professor at Del Mar College. Dr. Ben focuses his professional attention to the practice of implant and cosmetic dentistry. |

| Dr. Anthony Flores has been practicing dentistry since 2008. He spent many years working with removable prosthetics (dentures and partials) in a local dental lab. Now, after joining the Vela Dental Centers, he spends the majority of his time treating patients between the ages of 1-15 at our Kingsville location. Dr. Flores enjoys family time and placing bids on eBay. |

| Dr. Kevin Packard graduated in May 2011 from the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School in San Antonio, joining the Vela Dental Centers shortly after. Dr. Packard enjoys the Corpus Christi area with his wife, Ashley, and their daughter, Kimball. He was raised in Carlsbad, California and graduated from Brigham Young University. He enjoys wakeboarding, mountain biking, surfing, painting, drawing and spending time with his family. |
| Dr. Demetrio Gonzalez is a 2011 graduate of the Univserity of Baylor Dental College in Dallas. He is a Corpus Christi native, having graduated from Ray High School and TAMUCC. He is proud to be fluent in English and Spanish. He has spent countless hours working in a dental laboratory and enjoys working with his hands. Dr. Gonzalez is an avid car fanatic and has enjoyed working on his project vehicle for the past five years and hopes to be finished in the very near future. |
